A return visit to New Orleans means a return to an exceptional dining experience.  Having enjoyed the classics like Commander's Palace the last time around, this trip was calling for something nouveau.  Enter John Besh, and his flagship Restaurant August.

Built in a historic 19th century French-Creole building, the dining area is an impressive space. Original architectural details, polished hardwoods, expressive columns, mahogany paneling and antique mirrors lend to a space that is inviting and enjoyable.

The food, much like the restaurant, is a sophisticated dining experience.  Executive Chef
Todd Pulsinelli has a restraint that is appreciated, as much as sought-after, blending the ingredients of trend with the refined technique of classic preparation.

Complimentary to what's going on in the savory kitchen, Chef
Kelly Fields keeps the fresh ideas rolling in the pastry Kitchen.  Finishing our meal with 'red velvet' cake born of a preparation built on a traditional method relying on the natural red anthocyanin of cocoa and beets for sweeting.

 -enjoy the Journey.
