FatGuys Rating: Four-Fish

Tasting Notes:
A mature medium bodied red from Spain, with scents of cherry, berry herbs and spice especially black pepper.  On the palate notes of ripe fruit are quickly whisked away by savory and herbaceous secondary tastes of pepper and dill.  The wine was a bit tight with bright acidity and needed the benefit from a longer decanting.  Allowing this wine to rest and integrate for two or more hours would surely enhance this wines profile.  Nonetheless this wine worked well with a variety of appetizers and a beautiful plate of Wild Mushroom Risotto and make for an enjoyable time with family and friends.
